BOOST PROGRAM MANAGER
Amanda Patterson, a native of Asheville, is a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) and a Qualified Professional (QP) with over nine years of experience in the behavioral health field and is working on her BSW at Mars Hill. Amanda has been in recovery since 2007, and she is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families on their journey to healing and stability.
Prior to her position at Operation Gateway, Amanda has experience working at DHHS with parents navigating addiction and mental health while striving to reunify with their children. In addition, she has served on Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams in the rural communities providing intensive community-based support. She has also worked with women who had recently been released from prison and had no home plan during COVID.
Along with her position at Operation Gateway, Amanda currently works full time for Dayspring Foundation as a care navigator with the Healthy Opportunity Pilot.
Amanda feels that meeting people exactly where they are and being trauma-informed are very important assets when supporting people on their recovery journey.
Beyond her professional commitments, Amanda is a proud mother and grandmother. When she’s not working, she cherishes spending quality time with them. Most of all, her unwavering faith in God remains at the center of her life.
