Mission 750

United for Asheville

Assisting fellow Appalachians with obtained the Serious Needs Assistance of $750 from FEMA. Many people had technological challenges and errors on their applications which resulted in denials. Mission 750 answered the call for FEMA Advocacy, assisting with initial applications, uploading documents, and appeals

  • Navigating FEMA’s disaster assistance programs can be overwhelming, especially for those who have lost everything. Operation Gateway deployed digital navigators to assist residents with completing FEMA applications and appeals.

  • This focused initiative aimed to directly support at least 750 households. From filing paperwork to connecting families with vital recovery resources, Mission 750 was designed to simplify the recovery process. Our team also coordinated with local agencies to address appeals and ensure no family was left behind during this critical time.

  • The Reid Center in Asheville became a beacon of hope for the community during this crisis. Dubbed "Ashevillage," this centralized hub distributed essential supplies, including food, clean water, hygiene kits, and clothing, to thousands of individuals. Open to all, the hub provided a safe space for residents to access resources, connect with support networks, and rebuild their sense of stability.
